Downtown’s outdoor Live Music Concert Series

Hammond Live
The Downtown Development District is proud to announce the return of its outdoor concert series, Hammond Live—a revival of the Picnic in the Park series that brings live music and community connection to Cate Square Park. Hammond Live is a free outdoor community concert series and open to all ages. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy an evening of live music under the oaks.

The Road Home
Documentary Premiere + Flatland Jam
Terry Adams, an international BMX Flatland competitor, mentor, innovator, and pioneer, is returning to his roots in Hammond, Louisiana to showcase the culture of BMX Flatland and his extraordinary career. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Adams, in collaboration with the Hammond Downtown Development District, will host a special event celebrating his legacy and contributions to the sport with the premiere of his documentary, The Road Home, and a high-energy flatland jam, set to draw hundreds of BMX athletes, celebrities, influencers, and fans from around the world.
Hosted by the Hammond Downtown Development District (DDD) since 1995, Hot August has invigorated Downtown Hammond with visitors, shoppers, and neighbors to support locally-owned businesses. Each year offers a lively display of nearly 100 small businesses and dozens of local musicians & artists providing quality entertainment for all ages – cultivating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that can only be found in Hammond, America!
