Bleu Novo: Where Wellness and Aesthetics Meet

For this feature, we spoke with Nurse Practitioner and Co-Owner Lauren Fowlkes and Marketing Manager Abby McElveen about the evolution of Bleu Novo and the mission behind their work.

Bleu Novo began as Bleu Rx Solutions in Franklinton, Louisiana, founded by Savannah Murray, a Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing. What started as a single location has grown into a brand centered on personalized care and long-term wellness.

Lauren, a Hammond native and graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University’s nursing program, began her career as an ICU nurse. After crossing paths with Savannah, she joined the Franklinton location. Their shared vision and strong working relationship led them to become co-owners and open the Downtown Hammond location. For Lauren, the opportunity to return home while building something meaningful made the decision even more impactful.

Abby, who grew up in Bogalusa and also attended Southeastern, brings a strong background in marketing, with previous experience in real estate. After meeting Savannah, she joined the team and now plays a key role in shaping the Bleu Novo brand. Together, the team reflects a shared passion for helping people improve their quality of life.

Bleu Novo offers more than aesthetic services such as injections and fillers. At its core, the practice focuses on hormone testing and whole-body wellness. Every client begins with a consultation and lab work reviewed by a nurse practitioner to identify any underlying imbalances. If results indicate concerns, clients are first encouraged to consult with their general practitioner. From there, the team provides guidance on factors such as hormone levels, thyroid function, iron levels, and vitamin deficiencies.

While aesthetic services remain a part of the practice, Lauren’s clinical background drives her interest in treatments that support overall health, including care for patients experiencing migraines, hormone imbalances, and conditions such as Bell’s palsy. The goal is to ensure clients feel better, not just look better.

Abby shared her own experience as an example of this approach. Before joining Bleu Novo, she struggled with fatigue and other health concerns. After undergoing testing, she discovered significant hormonal imbalances and was able to begin treatment. Her experience reflects the importance of understanding how factors like testosterone, estrogen, and vitamin levels impact both men and women.

Bleu Novo also provides support for those experiencing perimenopause and menopause. As Lauren explains, these stages of life do not have to be endured without help. With proper testing and care, patients can find relief and improve their day-to-day well-being.

The team emphasizes confidence as a key outcome of their work, but not in a purely aesthetic sense. Both Lauren and Abby shared that working at Bleu Novo has strengthened their confidence in how they move through the world, and they aim to help others feel the same. A guiding principle from Savannah continues to shape their approach: community over competition. They believe there is room for collaboration among providers and that supporting one another ultimately benefits clients.

Now back in Hammond, Lauren is grateful to live and work in the community she calls home.

Bleu Novo offers a range of services including a vitamin bar, hormone therapy, weight loss programs, and aesthetic treatments. Each service is approached with individualized care and a focus on long-term wellness.
