Reindeer Run Brings Holiday Cheer While Expanding Community Support for
Restoration House
Hammond, Louisiana — The 13th annual Reindeer Run, Hammond’s holiday 5K and one-mile
fun run, brought the community together once again to support Restoration House, a nonprofit
that provides free and confidential services to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Restoration
House offers pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, education, and resources for women
choosing parenting or adoption, all at no cost.
This year’s event welcomed more runners, families, churches, and local groups, creating broader
community support for the services Restoration House provides year-round. Title sponsor Davie
Shoring helped elevate the event through expanded partnership and visibility, strengthening the
resources available to the women Restoration House serves.
Custom bibs, upgraded medal ribbons, and an expanded volunteer team added to the festive
atmosphere while keeping the mission front and center. The joyful race-day mood underscored
how local participation directly supports women seeking a safe, compassionate place for
guidance and care.
“Reindeer Run is one of the happiest mornings of the season,” said Timothy San Fillippo, the
event’s race director for nearly a decade. “People come ready to enjoy the fun, but they also
show up with generosity. Every runner, every family, and every sponsor helps Restoration House
continue its work with women who need a supportive place to turn.”
As participation and partnerships continue to grow, the Reindeer Run stands as a community
tradition that brings holiday cheer while strengthening the services available to women and
families across Hammond and the Northshore.
