Join us for an afternoon of literature! At Celebrating the Written Word 2026, Louisiana Poet Laureate Gina Ferrara will share selections of her poetry and reflect on her creative journey as a poet. Come meet our local book partners: Bayou Booksellers, Carpe Librum, and Berry Bookish Sisters. This event is free and open to the public.

Join us next Thursday, July 2nd, for our very first writing workshop This workshop will include both guided and independent writing time along with *optional* opportunities to discuss your work with fellow writers. Bring something you’re already working on or let the inspiration strike you when you get here! All genres and skill levels are encouraged.
