SRP ‘25: Wow O’Clock
When a riptide separates Professor Universe and Melina the Mermaid, each bravely sets off to find their special someone. They meet a friendly coral, a mischievous ocean current conductor, a hungry angler fish and more.


SRP ‘25: The TMM Project
Created by Terrance Michael Morgan, the program features a saxophonist, drums, step-dancing and street dance. The group showcases the impact of working together to accomplish goals while teaching fun dance moves.

SRP ‘25: Yuck Show
Come see the Yuck Show, a live science program and game show where the audience competes in the elaborate science games and witnesses amazing scientific demonstrations.

There will also be BINGO! So join us for this free event.

Earth Day Cafe
The Hammond Branch is getting cozy with a one-day cafe. Families are invited to sample our nature-themed snacks in honor of Earth Day. Littles can bake something in the pretend play cafe. Meanwhile, older kids and adults can decorate spring cookies. There will be games, crafts, and practical tips to clean and beautify the world. Don’t forget to tip your plant!

The Baroness Undressed
New Orleans based Performing Artist, Diana Shortez will present the newest incarnation of her original solo work “The Baroness Undressed” for her performance in celebration of Women’s History Month. This show is free to the public and begins at 6pm.

Dino Discovery
Dig into the history of Paleontologist Mary Anning and her contributions to science this Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in our Hammond Branch for our Dino Discovery.

Tangi Teens Pizza Party
Join Tangi Library for a slice of pizza and bring your ideas! In an effort to get to know the teens and understand what they want from the library, they are hosting pizza parties each week in January. It will be during the traditional Teen Time at each branch.

Old Swamp, New You: Shrek Watch Party
Join Tangi Library for a unique Shrek Watch Party and Ogre Spa Experience! In addition to the movie, families can enjoy fairy-tale themed snacks and face masks. Grab your comfiest robe and slippers and meet them in the swamp!

Adventure Club at the Hammond Branch Library
The Hammond Branch Adventure Club has a snowy list of activities for December for students aged 7 to 11. Join them each Thursday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for an afternoon of fun!

Winter Family Movie Night
Join the Hammond Branch Library on Friday, December 20 at 5:45 PM for a showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol! Snacks will be provided; however, please bring your own blankets and pillows, as the movie will be shown outdoors.
