The Hammond Downtown Development District’s 21st Annual Starry November Night returns Friday, November 20, 2026, from 5–8 p.m., kicking off the holiday shopping season in historic Downtown Hammond! After five years of celebrating on Saturdays, this beloved holiday tradition returns to its Friday evening format.

Enjoy a festive Night Market featuring local vendors at Cate Square Park, along with holiday train rides sponsored by Star Equipment for $5 per person (children ages 2 and under ride free). In Railroad Park, families can enjoy photos with Santa, a Snow Play area, and a fire truck for children to explore. Activities at both parks will take place simultaneously throughout the evening.
