Hot August Night returns
Hot August Night returns to Downtown Hammond on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 8 p.m., celebrating the 29th Hot August Night. Inspired by the original events of the 1990s, this year's celebration returns to the tradition that made Hot August Night a downtown favorite: strolling through locally owned businesses, connecting with the people behind them and celebrating the art, music and culture that define Downtown Hammond. While the event has evolved over the years, 2026 marks a return to the community-focused experience that started it all.
